Portal to a new reality

The Texel Portal RX is a full-color 3D scanner for scanning people. Fill in the registration form, start the scan, and in just 30 seconds, you will receive a full-height, highly accurate 3D image of yourself.

Portal RX is more than just a 3D scanner. It is a complete complex which consists of a high-tech scanner and software from Texel. While the scanner analyzes the person standing on the platform, special algorithms take over the process. In just 1 minute, the results of the scan turn into a realistic 3D model in the Texel Cloud.

Portal RX requires minimal human input, requiring only registration with your name and email in order to receive the link to the model. You can share the link with your friends on social media right from our cloud. We have automated and simplified everything possible: scanning, processing data, building 3D models, and preparing them for production.

You don’t need to understand the inner workings of the equipment, as the 3D scanner and software will do everything for you. The Texel Portal RX operates reliably and predictably. Upon exiting, the client will receive an exact digital 3D model for printing or for integrating into different services.

We have standardized the production of the Texel Portal RX to make the scanner reliable and predictable. For consistent form and diameter, we use a laser cutting machine. A test plate helps to eliminate the slightest deviations during argon arc welding, and high-precision milling and boring when creating holes minimize the vibration of the parts.

The Texel Portal RX 3D scanner may sometimes be placed in a location without ideal conditions. We have taken this into account, and Texel Portal RX’s surfaces are protected with polyurethane enamel, which is durable and resistant to wear over time. This means that it is not affected by corrosion or any aggressive environments. The powder paint that covers the supports is baked so that it is resistant to chemical and physical effects.

All operations of the Texel Portal RX are automated. The system is controlled by an electronic unit, and powerful ARM processors help to carry out the precise positioning during installation. If a failure occurs, the unit will detect the error, correct it, and continue working. Our clients like the automation, as it only takes one minute to learn to control this highly advanced piece of equipment!

You will be able to start work straight after our specialist builds and tests the 3D scanner. Included with the Portal RX is a powerful computer, a comfortable keyboard with a touchpad, a registration console, and a basic repair kit. In order to create a unique atmosphere in the place where the 3D scanner is used and to attract attention to your brand, we can create individualized decoration and customize the project.

We are proud of our high-tech software Texel Cloud, which was developed by our team of talented computer scientists (supported by 6 scientific publications). Our software combines several million points into a complete, highly accurate 3D model while delivering results quickly and using minimal resources. At the same time, it preserves edges, shades, and textures and realistically transmits facial expression, hair, and clothes.

To scan complex hairstyles, for example, hair with dark, shiny, or very thin elements, we use the best sensors on the market. Even the complex details of clothes will look real, and the proportions will remain natural. After scanning is completed, a 3D copy can be integrated into various services such as AR/VR systems or virtual fitting rooms.
