Texel and Copter Express developed the first hybrid of full-height 3D scanner and autonomous quadcopter in the world. The tests of the unrivaled device were successful.
“Drone-based 3D scanner has the same capabilities as Portal full-height scanner of our company. The scanning drone will make it possible to quickly obtain the full 3D model of a human being or an object, and then to send it to e-mail or display on the screen. 3D copy may be added to an animated video, – commented the General Director of Texel, Maxim Fedyukov. – The key advantage of the new development is mobility and small size, which makes it possible to use it where it is difficult to install a full-height scanner. A drone scanning in 3D format will attract attention of guests at exhibitions, large themed events, in advertising campaigns, to demonstrate cutting edge technologies”.
